Hey Friends, it's been a minute!🌟
Here we are in February, the shortest month that somehow manages to pack in more emotion and significance than all the others. It's been a little while, hasn't it? But here I am, Mary Sammons, back at the keyboard.
First things first—today is our second annual "Day of Giving"! 🎉 It’s a day to sprinkle kindness like confetti. And if that isn’t enough to fill your heart, it’s also Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month. Oh how my heart aches to have my little heart warrior tight in my arms. And yet God has allowed me to see so many hearts swell with hope through the work Open Hearts is doing all over the world. There is so much joy in that gift!
And then, there's Valentine's Day next week. Sure, you’ll find heart-shaped everything and possibly overindulge in chocolates, but for me, it signifies Ivy's Forever Family Day—one of the greatest days of my life. It's my reminder that living in a covenant with Love Himself, the most revolutionary covenant that ever was, where he gives not the answer yes to everything we ask for, but His very self instead. My silent tears, clinging to Him through the struggle, is part of the glory! There is joy. Yes, there is joy!
Even though I haven’t blogged for a while, Ivy is the spark that reignites my passion to be here doing so. We never forget her words, "I'm Choosing Joy", though and through! Friends, being here with Open Hearts for Orphans is like discovering new glimmers of joy every day. This organization is doing phenomenal work with a purpose that's truly divine! Honestly, it feels like witnessing a miracle in action! If you haven't read the posts from last month and all that happened on Ann's trip to Uganda, please take a look.
In loving memory of the one who pierced my heart and pushed me to make a real difference, I’d love for you to join us on this incredible journey. Whether you're new here or have been with me from the start, your support makes all the difference! Click the link below to get involved. Children belong in families. No child should grow up without someone to love them. Sometimes all families need, to stay together, is opportunity. Here at Open Hearts for Orphans, we support both.
Please join us in this important work: GIVE HOPE HERE
