How come you had to leave so soon?

I'll never understand,

Someday when I meet Jesus,

I'll ask him for His hand...

I'll have a million questions

About everything you've done,

While Mommy's been here missing you

I hope you're having fun.

I miss your little fingers

I miss your fuzzy hair,

I miss your little Elmo voice

And your willingness to share.

You taught me many lessons

that I carry in my heart,

Your mark is on me always

Even though we are apart.

Today on Earth you're seven, son

In the air I feel your breath,

Many blessings have come because of you

Such beauty from your death.

 I'll always be so thankful

that God made me the one,

who got to bring you home to love

and feel the Florida sun.

Someday I know we'll meet again
